Racing:  Timmy Murphy hopes to be back in action tomorrow just four days after he took a heavy fall at the Cheltenham Festival.

David Johnson’s retained rider was left "sore and bruised" when he was unseated from Celestial Gold at the 10th fence in the Cheltenham Gold Cup.

But after taking the weekend off he is now ready to return as his agent Chris Broad explained.

He said: "I’m sure he’ll probably end up riding tomorrow. I don’t know where he’s going yet because I don’t know where Mr Johnson is likely to have a runner.

"He’s still a bit sore but he had a quiet weekend and the plan is to ride tomorrow."
