EDINBURGH Scottish police yesterday started exhuming the body of a man who committed suicide in 1980 in the hope that genetic fingerprinting would prove he was the serial killer who haunted Glasgow dance halls 25 years ago.

They suspect that John Irvine McInnes, buried at the village of Stonehouse near Glasgow, could be "Bible John", suspected of killing three women in the late 1960s.
