Murder accused is remanded

A Co Tipperary man charged with the murder of his parents was further remanded in Limerick District Court yesterday.

A Co Tipperary man charged with the murder of his parents was further remanded in Limerick District Court yesterday.

Mr Martin Doherty (25), of Grattan Court, St Lelia Street, Limerick, is charged with the murder of Mr William Doherty (57), a retired garda, and his wife, Theresa (49), at their home at Monadreen, Thurles, on September 21st. He was remanded in custody to the Central Mental Hospital, Dundrum, until May 5th.
