Harare - Zimbabwe government officials yesterday dismissed reports that President Robert Mugabe collapsed in Libya while travelling to the UN General Assembly in New York.

"Contrary to the rumours flying around, the president is in good health," said a senior official who declined to be named.

The independent Daily News quoted presidential spokesman, Mr George Charamba, as dispelling speculation on Sunday that Mr Mugabe (76) had collapsed and died in Libya.
