The market research company MRBI has been awarded the contract for the Irish Joint National Listenership Research (JNLR) for 1997 to 1999. It has held the contract since 1984. The company won the contract against Irish and international tenders.
MRBI said the service will retain the same tested research procedures, face to face interviews with a annual sample of 6,500 individuals. However, major radio stations will now be provided with computer software with which the survey results can be analysed on user's own personal computers.
