A motorcyclist was killed in a crash in north Belfast last night.

A motorcyclist was killed in a crash in north Belfast last night.

The man died when he lost control of his motorcycle on North Queen Street in the Skegoniel area at about 8.15pm.

There were no other vehicles involved, a PSNI spokeswoman said.

She appealed for witnesses to the incident to contact police.

Police later named the man as 27-year-old Gary Mitchell from Skegoniel area of Belfast.
