Three men and three women were still being questioned by the PSNI last night in connection with the beating to death of a man in Banbridge on New Year's morning.
The dead man was yesterday named as Mr Adrian Samuel Thompson (29), from Pinley Meadows in Banbridge, Co Down.
His body was found on Thursday morning at the back of a house at Leamount Park in the Cline Road area of Banbridge.
Police have ruled out a sectarian motive for the attack, although they say they do not yet know the motive.

Mr Thompson appears to have been beaten to death by a gang, some of whom may have used spades to assault him.
He died at the scene.
