Bujanovac - Ethnic Albanian separatists launched a mortar attack yesterday on Serb police positions in a contested buffer zone in southern Serbia, a Yugoslav army officer said yesterday. There were no reports of casualties.
Part of the zone, which is located in Serbia proper, has been occupied by ethnic Albanian forces who want to unite with Kosovo.
