YET another bovine TB, eradication scheme is being launched on Monday. For the past 40 years, we've had such schemes at the rate of about one every five years.
This one is no less costly and no less controversial, in that the vets are violently opposed and the farmers are not particularly pleased either.
Yet not only is bovine TB still with us, but latest reports indicate it is increasing. When concerned citizens realised Monday's date, April 1st, they didn't know whether to laugh or cry.
