An Irish tourist, who had been missing for three days in Tenerife, has been found alive.
Elizabeth Butler (68) from Kilkenny, who suffers from a mild form of Alzheimer's disease as well as diabetes, disappeared from the lobby of the Esmeralda Playa Hotel in Costa Adeje shortly after arriving from Dublin on Sunday.
She was discovered last night in a disorientated state several kilometres from the hotel where her family is staying.
A number of people had contacted the police to report they had seen a woman - who resembled the picture featured on the posters - wandering on waste ground in the Roca del Conde district of Fañabé.
Mrs Butler was later collected by police and taken to a hospital in Playa de Las Américas to be treated for severe dehydration and disorientation.
