Two men accused of killing Michaela Harte will go on trial in Mauritius in May, a court has heard. Ms Harte (27), the daughter of Tyrone football manager Mickey Harte, was murdered on January 10th last year at the Legends Hotel in Grand Gaube, where she was on honeymoon with new husband John McAreavey.

Avinash Treebhoowoon (29) and Sandip Mooneea (41) appeared before the country’s Supreme Court yesterday where they were formally charged with murder. They will be tried on May 22nd in a hearing scheduled to last two weeks.
