The membership of the Western Development Commission, set up to promote development in the Connacht counties and Clare and Donegal, was announced yesterday by the Minister of State at the Department of Agriculture and Food, Mr Noel Davern.
The board will be chaired by Mr Sean Tighe, Fishan, Co Donegal. The other members are: Ms Mary Bohan, Leitrim; Mr Sean Hannick, Killala, Co Mayo, Mr Maurice Harvey, Ennistymon, Co Clare, Ms Janet Hughes, Oranmore, Co Galway, Mr Malachy King, Cleggan, Co Galway, Sr Maureen Lally, Castlebar, Co Mayo, Ms Lisa McAllister, Sligo, Mr Pat McGarry, Ballaghadereen, Co Mayo, Mr Michael McLoone, Lifford, Co Donegal, Mr Peadar O' Tuathaill, Co Galway, and Mr Frank McDonnell, Department of Agriculture and Food.
