Dallas - The condemned Oklahoma City bomber, Timothy McVeigh, passed up his last chance for clemency because he did not expect to win a pardon and did not want to spend the rest of his life in prison, his lawyers said yesterday. McVeigh (32) faces execution on May 16th for the bombing that killed 168 people after declining to ask President Bush to spare his life. The deadline for a clemency petition passed on Thursday.
