Republic of Ireland and Leeds United midfielder Stephen McPhail has claimed he wants to make his loan move to Nottingham Forest a permanent one.
McPhail, who had fallen out of favour at Elland Roahd, has made 11 appearances since joining Forest on a three-month loan, two of which have now been completed.
Manager Paul Hart has already made public his desire to make the 23-year-old a permanent addition to his squad and now McPhail too has announced his own desire to remain on the banks of the Trent.
McPhail said: "I want to stay, I want to make it clear to everyone.
"I've been so happy here and it would be a real disappointment if I had to leave. It's up to the gaffer and Leeds to sort something out but I'm sure something will happen as I get closer to the end of my loan," he told Forest's official website, www.nottinghamforest.co.uk.
McPhail has enjoyed a new lease of life in the Forest midfield where he has turned in a string of impressive performances alongside fellow Irish international Andy Reid.
