McGahon to retire from politics

Fine Gael TD Brendan McGahon is to retire from politics. The Louth TD, who was first elected in 1982, will instead support his brother Johnny as a candidate in the next general election when the party holds its selection convention tonight in Castlebellingham. Mr Johnny McGahon is a member of Dundalk Urban District Council.
