Mbeki support falls - survey

Johannesburg - Support for President Thabo Mbeki has plummeted in the past year, with only one in two South Africans approving of the way he is running the country, a new survey has shown. In a survey conducted in July and August this year, the Institute for Democracy in South Africa (IDASA) found "approval of job performance of South Africa's political leaders and institutions significantly down".
