Martin names inspectors for migrant workers

The Government has appointed an additional 11 staff to the Labour Inspectorate, it was announced today.

The Government has appointed an additional 11 staff to the Labour Inspectorate, it was announced today.

Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment Micheál Martin said the new staff, a team leader and 10 inspectors, would place "a specific emphasis on sectors where migrant workers are concentrated".

The new appointments bring the number of Labour Inspectors to 31.

They are supported by a number of staff in the Inspectorate and Employment Rights Information Unit.
