Many are feared dead in sinking

NICOSIA - A boat carrying 95 people sank off Erifrea and most people aboard were presumed dead, Eritrean radio said yesterday. The radio, monitored by the BBC, said six people survived and 18 of the passengers had been identified as Eritreans. The boat was en route for Saudi Arabia just across the Red Sea when it sank last Tuesday soon after setting out.
