A man with a list of 44 convictions dating back 30 years was yesterday released from a six-year sentence. Daniel Reidy (48), of Village Square, Tallaght, was released from the sentence imposed last year and given another six-year suspended sentence after he pleaded guilty in the Dublin Circuit Criminal Court to fresh fraud offences. Ms Marie Torrens, defending, said Reidy had been used by a gang intercepting cheques in the post and cashing them in banks.
