A man who broke into the constituency office of former Fianna Fáil minister Barry Andrews, because he was looking for place to drink, has been jailed for two years.

Gerard Kane (34) tried to escape by charging through a window. He struggled with a garda until she subdued him by hitting him on the shins with her baton.
