Wellington - Three people, including two small children, were found stabbed to death in the New Zealand town of Rawene, 200 km north of Auckland, police said.
One of the children was a girl aged under 12 months and the other a boy aged about four, Sgt Martin Cox of Auckland police commented.
Television New Zealand said police found the bodies of the two children inside the house to which they had been called. The body of a man was found outside the house. Two other people were injured. One woman, whom TNZ said was the children's mother, received injuries to her hand.
