Man to appear in Belfast court on arson charge

A man (23) is due to appear before Belfast Magistrate's Court later today charged with arson and intent to endanger life.

A man (23) is due to appear before Belfast Magistrate's Court later today charged with arson and intent to endanger life.

It is understood the charge relates to an attack on a house at Glenbryn Drive in north Belfast last Friday night.

The house was badly damaged by a fire, which was put out by British Army personnel covering for striking firefighters.

There was nobody in the house at the time, but a number of neighbours had to be evacuated.
