Man suffers leg injury in Dublin shooting

Gardaí are investigating a shooting that injured a man in Dublin overnight.

Gardaí are investigating a shooting that injured a man in Dublin overnight.

The attack occurred when a gunman called to the victim's home at the Oliver Bond Streets Flats in the south inner city at 3 a.m.

On answering the door, two shots were fired and the victim was hit in a leg and hip.

He was later taken to St James's Hospital where his injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

The scene of the shooting will be examined by gardaí this morning.
