Gardai have appealed for witnesses to the shooting of a 25-year-old man in Ballyfermot, Dublin, yesterday.

Gardai have appealed for witnesses to the shooting of a 25-year-old man in Ballyfermot, Dublin, yesterday.

The man from Ballyfermot was shot in the back at around 4.05 p.m. at Lawn Park, Blackditch Road. His condition was described as "stable" at St James's Hospital.

Gardai said three hooded men were noticed in the area. They asked witnesses to contact Ballyfermot Garda Station at (01) 666 7200.
