A man is recovering in hospital after being shot in the right leg in a paramilitary-style attack in north Belfast last night.

A man is recovering in hospital after being shot in the right leg in a paramilitary-style attack in north Belfast last night.

The man, believed to be in his twenties, was shot at Farringdon Court, off the Ardoyne Road, last night. There were no arrests.

Elsewhere in north Belfast, the RUC are investigating an attack on a house on Thornburn Road. An RUC spokeswoman said a number of fireworks were thrown at the house, causing minor damage.

There were no injuries and no arrests.
