A man was seriously injured when intruders shot him several times at his home in Bangor last night.
Two armed and masked men forced their way into the house at Elmwood Drive just before 11pm and shot the victim several times in the upper body.
The victim, who is in his 30s, is understood to be in a stable condition in hospital.
Police are linking a blue Renault 19 car, which was later found in the town, with the attack. It had been set on fire and destroyed.
