A postmortem has begun on a man's body found by police hunting the killer of schoolboy Rory Blackhall in Scotland.

The man, named as Simon Harris, was discovered yesterday at a house in Livingston that was raided by officers investigating the 11-year-old's killing.

Mr Harris is thought to resemble the description of the man police said they were searching for, but Lothian and Borders police have refused to confirm reports he was their main suspect for Rory's murder.

The boy's body was discovered last Sunday in woodland under a tattered tent three days after he went missing after being dropped off by his mother near Meldrum Primary School.

Postmortem results are expected this afternoon.
