The body of a man has been found in a village outside Limerick city this morning.
Gardaí say the man appears to have been either shot or stabbed in the back. He was found dead in a laneway in the village of Parteen, Co Clare at about 9am.
Parteen is about five miles outside Limerick city centre.
The scene has been sealed off, and the State Pathologist's office has been notified.
