The PSNI have released a man (51) being questioned about a suspected £4 million fraud.

He was arrested yesterday in Coleraine along with another man (47). Both have been freed pending reports to the Public Prosecution Service.

The investigation by the police service’s organised crime branch involves mortgage fraud, money laundering and tax evasion.

The two suspects had been taken back into custody after they were arrested and released on bail earlier this year.

The inquiry has been ongoing for several months and officers have already carried out searches in the north west, Belfast and Co Down. They have interviewed 11 people.
