A man who was questioned in connection with the death of Robert McCartney has been freed without charge.
The man (31), accompanied by his solicitor, went to a Belfast police station on Sunday for questioning.
Mr McCartney (33) a father of two, died when he was involved in a brawl with republicans in or near Magennis's Bar in Belfast on the night of January 30th.
The IRA later admitted three of its members were involved in the fatal attack and expelled the three from its ranks. The organisation caused further controversy later when it released a statement in which it revealed it had offered to have the men shot.
The Sinn Féin leadership has urged the killers to give themselves up and has suspended seven of its members while the police investigation takes place.
No one has been charged in connection with the murder.
