Tampa - A 21-year-old man living in Tampa, Florida has been arrested on charges that he raped and attempted to kill a nine-month-old girl. The baby is alive but in serious condition in hospital.
Mr Randolph Standifer spent Friday with the baby's family and told investigators he took her from her crib in the early hours of Saturday. He is said to have taken her to a wooded area, attacked and strangled her and left her for dead.
