Man questioned after two hurt in NI hit-and-run

A man was being questioned today about a hit-and-run in west Belfast in which two women were injured.

A man was being questioned today about a hit-and-run in west Belfast in which two women were injured.

The victims, both in their fifties, were taken to hospital after being knocked down near a Falls Road bar just before midnight. They are not believed to be seriously wounded.

The car involved, a white Audi, was later found burnt out in the Pembroke area of Poleglass.

Police believe the vehicle was also involved in a second accident at St Genevieve's School in the city.

Police have urged any other witnesses to contact them.
