A 24-year-old man pleaded guilty in the Central Criminal Court yesterday to raping a woman in a Sligo town in 1996. He was remanded on bail to June 19th next for sentence before Mr Justice Paul Carney.
He admitted raping a 22year-old woman on May 26th, 1996, sexually assaulting her and assaulting her, occasioning actual bodily harm on the same occasion.
