A man has pleaded guilty to the manslaughter of 81-year-old Mr Paddy Logan who was killed at his house near Castlejordan, Co Meath, just under two years ago.
At the Central Criminal Court this morning, John Doyle, with an address in Bristol but originally from the Fatima Mansions in Dublin, pleaded guilty to unlawfully killing and robbing Mr Logan in June 2000.
A small sum of money was taken during the raid. Mr Logan's brother, Peter, was also in the house at the time of the attack.
Sentencing will take place on July 19th.
