A 72-year-old Dublin man who awaits sentence for raping one daughter over eight years has pleaded guilty to 19 further sample charges involving his wife, two more daughters and two grand-daughters.
The man was convicted by a jury in October on 11 charges involving one daughter after a four-day trial. These rapes happened between 1978 and 1986. He has now pleaded guilty at the Central Criminal Court to 19 further charges on dates between 1966 to 1999. Mr Justice O Caoimh directed the preparation of victim impact reports and remanded the man in custody for sentence on all the matters on January 19th, 2001.
