Man on track killed by train

Gardai in Galway and Iarnrod Eireann were last night investigating the death of a man in his 20s, who was struck by a train at about 11 p.m. The incident occurred at Ballyloughane Bridge, Renmore, on the out skirts of Galway when the main intercity train to Dublin struck the man on the railway line. The train driver reported the incident to gardai.
