A jury has found a Dublin man not guilty of the armed robbery of cash in Co Meath during which a security officer was shot in the hand. Mr Larry Cummins jnr (30), Dunne Street, Dublin, had denied taking £3,437 from Mr Thomas Sharkey at Haggard Street, Trim, on October 22nd, 1998. His trial continued over six days at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court and the jury took about four hours to reach its verdict after being sent by Judge Patrick McCartan to a hotel overnight.
