Man killed in Navan road crash

A 55-year-old pedestrian was killed this morning when he was struck by a car in Navan, Co Meath.

A 55-year-old pedestrian was killed this morning when he was struck by a car in Navan, Co Meath.

The incident happened at around 2:30 a.m. at Limekilnhill, Dublin Road, Navan.

Gardai are appealing for witnesses to this incident to contact them at  Navan Garda station on 046-79330

A  25-year-old man appeared before a special sitting of Navan District Court this mornign in connection with the incident.

He was charged with motoring offences.
