A man who died when the car he was driving was involved in a crash overnight Co Meath has been named as Paul Finnegan (30) of Lobinstown, Navan.

He was the sole occupant of the car when it collided with another car at Proudstown, Navan at around 1.45.

Both men were taken taken to Our Lady's Hospital, Navan. The driver of the second car was also taken to hospital with injuries.
