A man who attempted to rape and bugger his then seven-year-old niece 20 years ago has been jailed for three years by Mr Justice Carney at the Central Criminal Court. The 39-year-old Tipperary man pleaded guilty to nine out of 36 charges on the indictment of attempted rape, attempted buggery and sexual assault.
