Man injured in Dublin drive-by shooting

A man is in hospital this morning after being shot in his car in west Dublin last night.

A man is in hospital this morning after being shot in his car in west Dublin last night.

The victim was waiting at traffic lights on the Ninth Lock Road in Clondalkin when a man pulled up beside him and fired three shots from a pump-action shotgun at about 9 p.m.

The man was hit in the head, chest and shoulder and was taken to Tallaght Hospital, where his condition was described as "stable".

Gardaí in Neilstown are investigating.
