A man was injured in an explosion in Co Down last night. The incident happened at the rear of a house on Heights Road in Loughinisland, near Downpatrick just after 9.30 p.m. The dissident loyalist group, The Orange Volunteers, have said they were responsible for the attack. They have been responsible for a number of attacks on Catholics, the most recent of which was a bomb in the grounds of a GAA ground in Magherafelt earlier this month. The man injured in last night's attack was taken to hospital, although his injuries are not thought to be serious.
