A man has been seriously injured after a van crashed into Portumna Bridge in Co Galway this morning.
He has been taken to Portiuncla Hospital in Ballinasloe for treatment for head injuries.
The injured man was one of four men in the vehicle at the time of the crash which happened on the Nenagh to Loughrea road at 6.30am. The other men were uninjured.
The road is closed pending a technical examination by gardaí.
