Man in hospital following paramilitary-style shooting

A 30-year-old man is being treated in hospital in Belfast for paramilitary-style gun shot wounds.

A 30-year-old man is being treated in hospital in Belfast for paramilitary-style gun shot wounds.

The man was attacked by a gang of three other men who burst into a house on London Road shortly before 10.45 pm last night.

The victim is suffering from wounds to the hands, knees and ankles.

Police believe a silver Ford Mondeo, found burning in Templemoores Street, may have been used by the gunmen. Three men were seen running from the car in the direction of Avoneil.

Police are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
