A man in his twenties was taken to Kerry General Hospital last night after being stabbed in the stomach at a roundabout in Castleisland, Co Kerry.

He suffered a stomach wound, although his injuries are believed not to be life threatening.

The stabbing is understood to be connected to a feud in the town between young members of the Traveller community and settled people.
