A man is being treated in hospital in Limerick for stab wounds received during an altercation with another man in the city this morning.
The incident happened on Steamboat Quay at around 2am when the injured man, said to be in his twenties, sustained a number of stab wounds.
He is being treated at the Midwest Regional Hospital in Limerick where his condition is described as stable.
A second man, aged in his late teens, was arrested shortly after the incident and is being questioned in Henry Street Garda Station.
