A man in his 20s is in a serious condition at Sligo General Hospital after he was shot in Sligo town this afternoon.
The man was shot in the Gratten Street area of the town just after 3.10pm.
It is believed the man was shot by a person on a motorcycle.
Gardaí are appealing for anyone with information on a motorcycle carrying two people seen in the area at the time to contact them on 0719157000.
