Man hurt in Waterford meat plant stabbing

A man was seriously injured in a stabbing in a meat factory in Waterford this morning.

A man was seriously injured in a stabbing in a meat factory in Waterford this morning.

He was stabbed by a fellow worker in the factory in Ferrybank at around 9 a.m., a Garda spokeswoman said.

A man (20) was arrested nearby a short time later and taken to Ballybricken Garda station for questioning.

It is unclear what weapon was used or what motive there was for the attack.
