Man hospitalised following paramilitary style shooting

A 24-year-old man is recovering in hospital today after he was shot last night in Newtownabbey, Co Antrim.

A 24-year-old man is recovering in hospital today after he was shot last night in Newtownabbey, Co Antrim.

He was being treated for a gunshot wound to his left calf following what the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) described as a paramilitary style shooting.

The shooting occurred at 10.45 p.m. last night at the junction of Green Walk and Rathcoole Drive.
