Man held over NI pipe bomb attack

A man injured today in a pipe bomb attack in north Belfast has been arrested by police investigating the incident.

A man injured today in a pipe bomb attack in north Belfast has been arrested by police investigating the incident.

At around 1.40am residents of a house in Kansas Avenue heard a loud bang, and it emerged a pipe bomb type device had exploded outside.

The occupants of the house were uninjured.

But police said a 36-year-old man injured his hand and was taken to hospital.

It is understood the man has now been arrested.
